Far South Networks, a Proudly South African company and a leader in the IP PBX and SIP Gateway market, today announces its partnership with 3CX, a developer of next-generation communications solutions. The agreement will see Far South Networks as an official 3CX distributor of PBX appliances across Africa.

3CX’s award-winning software innovates business connectivity and collaboration, reducing telco costs and enhancing customer experience. The new partnership highlights the two companies’ perfect product fit for SMMEs. This solution delivers a complete remote working toolkit, including video conferencing, mobile apps, messaging, live chat and talk, in a plug-and-play on-premises device, ensuring stable business services that are maintained across telecom, wireless and IP networks. Furthermore, this solution plugs neatly into the business's existing infrastructure, meaning there are no additional IT refurbishment or servicing costs.

“Far South Networks is delighted to announce that it has entered into an agreement with 3CX, allowing Far South Networks to incorporate the 3CX PBX software natively within its Wanderbox and Com.X PBX product lines,” says Grant Broomhall, Managing Director of Far South Networks. “Under an exclusive distribution agreement, the world-class 3CX PBX functionality will be supported on Far South Networks' hardware telephony platform for both IP and telco environments.”

As a partnership of products, this brings two leading products into a single package, delivering an enhanced suite of features and services to the business user as well as opening new vertical markets to Far South Networks channel partners, via the newly available 3CX software service packages.

Far South Networks would like to ensure its loyal base of customers is afforded the opportunity to take advantage of this new solution set under attractive commercial terms. Over the next 12 months, Far South Networks has put plans in place to support the migration of its existing customers to this new solution. Thereafter, from August 2021, Far South Networks will no longer provide updates to its existing PBX software product.

“Far South Networks is leading the way when it comes to providing secure, reliable PBX appliances to the South African market, which has traditionally been difficult to break into due to infrastructure challenges,” says Greg Garrett, Channel Manager Africa of 3CX. “This partnership is really exciting for 3CX and our resellers, as the new PBX appliances provide them with an affordable, trusted communications solution that combines the benefits of our software PBX with the performance of Far South’s Wanderbox and Com.X appliances.”
