Global Micro Solutions (GMS) announced today extensions to its popular Microsoft ASP licensing program. The program now also covers all Trend Micro Anti-Virus applications, BrightMail Anti-Spam and WebSpy applications.
The ASP program has been designed to provide customers a welcomed alternative to tradtional software licensing methods. Instead of purchasing software or enrolling in existing licensing programs, the Customer allows GMS to acquire the software licenses through various service provider agreements.
GMS then rents to software to the customer on a monthly basis. The program has been successful as it allows for per use departmentalised billing, contract downgrades and includes all software enhancements. Typical customer savings are between 30% and 50% and are does not require any upfront capital expenditure.
"We are excited about these extensions to our ASP licensing Program. Now in its third year, the support of additional software vendors for the ASP licensing Program, bears testimony to the strong support we are seeing from customers and a growing recognition by the industry that the program provides our customers with the flexibility and ease of administration that they demand" said JJ Milner, managing director of Global Micro Solutions.
