Konica Minolta South Africa’s AccurioPress C3080 Series has been tremendously popular in the local market, and now its successor has arrived on local shores. The AccurioPress C4080 Series offers fully configured entry-level presses that deliver unrivalled production possibilities. This versatility enables print companies to grow their business in different segments of the print and packaging market.

The new capabilities of the AccurioPress C4080 Series include extensive inline finishing options, real-time automated quality adjustments and streamlined workflows that seamlessly integrate into software applications.

There has been a lot of anticipation for the AccurioPress C4080 Series, especially within the 70- to 80-page-per-minute segment. It runs at 81 pages per minute and replaces the C3080, while the AccurioPress C4070 (71ppm) replaces the C3070 and the AccurioPrint C4065 (66ppm) is the successor to the C3070L versions.

The AccurioPress C4080 Series offers comprehensive media processing and provides improved thick paper support for a wide variety of media types, including embossed and coated paper. Paper weight handling has been increased from 350gsm² to 360gsm² in simplex and duplex. In addition, a new optional media sensor estimates paper weight and type, taking the guesswork out of programming this vital information into the machine.

The C4080 offers an incredible 2 400x3 600 dpi image quality at 8-bit pixel depth, while the versatility of media handling has also been improved, extending the standard banner print length from 760mm to 864mm in duplex print mode (processes sheets of 1 300mm paper length in simplex).

Edmund Jacobs, Production Print Manager at Konica Minolta South Africa, elaborates on the AccurioPress C4080 Series capabilities: “No longer is it necessary to trim and finish business cards offline, because users can employ the optional business card trimming unit (TU-510 Inline Trimmer Unit) to bring this functionality inline, enabling full automation to business card creation. Additionally, this new trimmer unit also offers edge-to-edge trimming and perforation capability. The possibilities are endless when it comes to the C4080. Anything from two-sided banner printing, professional finishing opportunities, plus real-time automated quality adjustments and fully integrated workflows.”

The AccurioPress C4080 Series is capable of performing many diverse jobs, from two-sided banner printing to professional finishing opportunities, at the finest quality and highest productivity level. The features make it an all-in-one print factory that will help enable business growth through intelligent automation, outstanding image quality and print application diversity.
