Top reasons to attend Experience Micro Focus Universe 2019 in Johannesburg

Johannesburg, 08 Jul 2019

Micro Focus Universe 2019, a full-day event, will be held, for the second year running, on 29 August at the Inanda Club in Sandton on 29 August.

Themed ‘Powering digital transformation', the event will give attendees an opportunity to hear a range of Micro Focus executives, product specialists and customers, to help them digitally transform their businesses and hear about the company’s latest roadmaps and innovations.

“There are many good reasons to attend,” says Allyson Towle, country marketing manager at Micro Focus SA. “For one, we have a great line-up of plenary speakers, including our executive Chris Livesey, Trevor Owen, Lars Rossen and Poppy Tshabalala, and an insightful, inspiring and thought-provoking morning with our keynote speaker Braam Malherbe.”

Join us at the upcoming Experience Micro Focus Universe 2019 event, on 29 August at the Inanda Club in Sandton. The theme is Powering Digital Transformation. This exciting multi-streamed event is complimentary to all Micro Focus customers, alliance and channel partners, as well as new customers. To register for this exciting event, click here. Limited seats are available and all registrations are subject to the Micro Focus disclaimer.

We also have at least 12 customers presenting across the four tracks, and will feature key customer case studies from companies including Vodacom, MTN, Sasol, Discovery Life, Syspro and Sage. “These customers will discuss their enterprise DevOps; hybrid IT management; security, risk and governance; or application modernisation journey with Micro Focus.”

In addition, Towle says the event will once again feature an 'Experience Zone', which will enable delegates to explore the company's full portfolio of solutions and see product demos live in action, including the latest product developments, such as robotic process automation, AIOps and more.

“There will be a fantastic exhibition area, for our partners to showcase their expertise, as well as an SME chill one, for our SME partners to do the same,” she adds.

Finally, for the first time, the event will feature a Lego City IT4IT. “There are many ways to highlight the problems enterprises face on their digital transformation journeys, including fancy presentations with excellent graphics, high-end videos and demonstrations,” she says.

“We’ve done all of those, but have tried something new this year, by introducing the Micro Focus Lego City, that mirrors our customers’ worlds, from the ‘roller coaster of quality’ to the ‘release train’. The city illustrates the functions, challenges and approaches customers often use when transforming themselves into digital enterprises, all using Lego bricks. It's a very interactive and engaging way to create a conversation.”
