PC Mag Readers' Choice and Business Choice Survey Methodology 2019

PCMag.com community members are asked to only rate products they use, and answer questions about overall satisfaction with the products and their reliability, as well as experiences with technical support and repairs within the past 12 months. Scores are on a scale of 0 to 10, where 10 is the best.

The goal of the survey is to understand how the manufacturers compare and how the respondent's experience compares. The category averages are based on the average of each manufacturer's rating. Overall, the Readers Choice and Business Choice Awards are based on a subjective determination by PCMag.com's editors, taking into account all of the ratings for each manufacturer.

"Whether it's the free version for cleanup or the premium version with its behaviour-based analysis, the brand Malwarebytes carries cache with PC Mag readers," said PC Mag editors. "They rated the company as making the most recommended security software of the year."
