Silicon Sky launches multi-cloud storage platform

Johannesburg, 03 Apr 2019

Silicon Sky has recently launched a new platform called Multi-Cloud Storage or MCS. It is a platform that will enable all flash performance storage for public, private and managed cloud environments. MCS also allows the customer to instantly migrate any size workload in seconds, with no egress costs across clouds and with zero lock-in.

Hosted at Teraco for the SA zone, all co-located customers can utilise the service for their private cloud or any other cloud provider they buy services from, connecting at speeds from 1 gigabyte (GB) to 10GB as a cross-connect at cross-connect prices.

MCS allows its customers to get better performance for their applications, irrespective of what cloud they choose for hosting, with an impressive 99.999% uptime. It reduces public cloud costs while supporting your on-premises environment, so hybrid cloud to multi-cloud is achieved effortlessly.

The MCS platform provides flexible options to leverage hyper-scale public cloud providers, Silicon Sky and managed private clouds hosted at Teraco.

Silicon Sky's flexible solutions meet the needs of the multi-cloud enterprise, protecting any application, any data, in multiple secure data centres located globally.
