Acronis True Image 2020, the flagship consumer solution of internationally renowned cyber protection leader Acronis, is now available and is set to consolidate the vendor’s rating as the leading personal backup software solution provider.

“Recognising the increasingly interconnected nature of our digital lives, Acronis continues to expend top R&D resources to provide reliable, robust solutions not only for the business environment, but also for home and small office users,” comments Peter French, MD of award-winning local Acronis distributor Synapsys.

Of the 100+ enhancements and new features, two are worth special mention:

1. Dual protection capability, which allows for automatic replication of local backups to the secure Acronis Cloud. Now compliant with the 3-2-1 Backup Rule (best practice), True Image 2020 is the first personal backup software to join the ranks of solutions providing simultaneous local backup and cloud replication.

2. Fortified anti-ransomware defences with enriched Acronis Active Protection. This AI-powered tool, which proactively detects and stops malicious activities and automatically restores affected files, is now able to stop illicit service termination attacks and provide details on why a particular process was flagged or blocked. Successfully defeating over 400 000 attacks in 2018 alone, True Image with Active Protection assures consumers of continued peace of mind in an ever-evolving threat landscape.

Continuing in their mission to drive innovation in the backup industry, Acronis consistently seeks to protect all data, applications and systems – wherever they are located – delivering everything a home user needs to ensure they never lose another file. With perpetual or subscription purchase options available, home and small office users are assured of the right fit for their particular requirements.

“Since 2003, Synapsys has delivered Acronis solutions to thousands of customers and users throughout South Africa and the continent. This new version of Acronis True Image reinforces the company’s sterling reputation as the preferred provider of backup and data protection solutions via its capable channel,” says French.

“With offerings that span the entire spectrum from consumer PC backup to corporate on-prem and cloud backup solutions, Acronis and Synapsys look forward to delivering the latest Acronis data protection solutions to their customers,” French concludes.
