Norcros SA, through its divisions Johnson Tiles, TAL, Tile Africa and House of Plumbing, is a well-known player in the local construction industry.

Norcros has recently partnered with XContent Business Solutions for the implementation of the LMS365 as their e-learning toolset for their business operations countrywide. LMS365 will be applied to a variety of business unit requirements throughout the group, including, among others, staff induction, product training and soft skills training.

The initial LMS365 implementation for 500 users was installed and commissioned remotely by XContent’s qualified technical team situated at the XContent Head Office based in Centurion. All product training for users and admin teams was carried out on-site at Norcros Head Office in Olifantsfontein and overseen by Hannelize de Villiers, Product specialist for LMS365 at XContent.

The successful project completion was deployed on time, and within scope, bearing testament to the XContent ethos of speed, agility, growth and trust, delivering exceptional customer service.

LMS365 is a Microsoft preferred e-learning management system exclusively supplied and supported in South Africa by XContent. This extension to the modern workplace is a secure, cloud-based e-learning platform that offers an exceptional e-learning experience and can be accessed from anywhere on virtually any device.

Key features of the LMS365 toolset, such as certification management, reporting and tracking, as well as flexible training modules, were deciding factors that influenced Norcros’ decision to award the LMS365 project to XContent.

According to Marilize Van Den Berg, Group Talent and HR Manager at Norcros: “The linking of the LMS365 to our new SharePoint system, and ease of use of the toolset, were crucial differentiators that met all Norcros’ needs in terms of: uploading different media as content (ie, text, videos, photos); various types of assessments (ie, multiple choice, true/false, upload of case studies, etc); and Webinar functionality.”

XContent’s Neels Bezuidenhout, Business Development Manager on the Norcros account, stated: “It was a pleasure dealing with the team at Norcros SA and I am pleased to say that the entire process from sales through to implementation of the e-learning force LMS365 went smoothly and the project was perfectly executed.”
