Brian Pinnock

Director Sales Engineering MEA, Mimecast

As Regional Manager of Sales Engineering at Mimecast MEA, Brian manages an international team of sales engineers across the Middle East and Africa, providing technical sales functions to Mimecast’s sales staff, reseller partners and customers in each region. He most recently headed up innovation at Internet Solutions. However, he believes the future of technology services organizations lies in the cloud and was drawn to Mimecast’s “born in the cloud” capabilities.
Besides his veteran status in the industry, Brian also has a Master’s Degree in Information Systems to his name, and is in the process of acquiring a PhD in the same field. He has founded and co-founded a number of successful ventures – such as the virtual incubator ISLabs and the previously JSE-listed PentaCom – before going on to build the team at Internet Solutions behind South Africa’s first SDN network and the world’s first low cost spectrum analyzer.
