Data-Afrique to expand

Data-Afrique, the Cape-based IT solutions company focusing on the financial services sector, has announced the launch of a new software development division. The new division is to focus on external development projects.

This is according to Data-Afrique's Chief Executive, Lo-Ammi Fourie, who said the growing number of projects in the pipeline - including a large one with a Pepkor group company - had necessitated the expansion.

The company has also appointed two more executives at its Cape Town branch to assist with the expansion and overseeing of the new software development division.

Tinus Lamprecht is to focus on key account management, while Warren Knott will be focusing on overall sales and marketing, including for the new software development division.

Fourie said one of the main focuses would be to “further drive” the company's Dynavate software solution, a specialist credit management software solution that manages the full life cycle of credit agreements.

“Today's credit landscape can be a minefield, with tighter regulation, increasingly competitive markets - and an increasing demand for better performance. Because of this, more pressure is placed on companies, who now - more than ever - have to optimise levels of accuracy and ensure compliance and good governance.”

“The number of projects we are working on has increased over the last 12 months - hence our need for the expansion and finer focus. But we are also aiming to work on growing our sales pipeline substantially over the course of the year,” said Fourie.
