Digital China selects Sagent to boost business efficiency

Top Chinese IT distributor and systems integrator implements Sagent for faster, more accurate flow of critical ERP information

The company set out to select an enterprise business intelligence solution to improve the front-end query process for end users, decrease the time it took to move data between data systems, as well as maximise the value and performance of its existing IT investments.

Digital China evaluated several company's offerings using the following selection criteria: end-to-end solution, scalability, ability to automate the extraction of data from SAP R/3 ERP system, ability to be implemented with thin-client architecture, implementation time, and potential ROI. Other considerations included vendor relationship with SAP, expertise of the local staff, reference sites, product performance and customer service.

"Sagent performs much better than other solutions that we have evaluated. The ETL sessions which required eight hours to complete in the past, only need two to three hours now. Data accuracy has also improved significantly," said Chen Guangdi, Project Manager at Digital China.
