EMC Concurrent SRDF with Oracle Solaris Cluster provides flexibility to third-site configurations

The high availability of data and of services, along with data backup, are three main challenges facing computer technology and business. Tio address these challenges, EMC E-Lab performed numerous tests to validate failover with EMC Concurrent SRDF using the new features delivered in Oracle Solaris Cluster for campus clusters.

Customers can now utilise the three-site replication feature of SRDF to simplify backup management, application testing, and development, while still being able to use the high availability of applications and data from Oracle Solaris Cluster.

The EMC Symmetrix Remote Data Facility (SRDF) family of remote replication software offers various levels of Symmetrix-based business continuance and disaster recovery solutions. The SRDF products offer the capability to maintain multiple copies of data, independent of the host and operating system.
