JSE-listed IT services and solutions company Faritec has won the IBM Top Revenue Contributor for Information Technology Services award at the prestigious IBM Business Partner Awards banquet, held in Johannesburg on 11 March 2010.
Bernard Donnelly, Business Development Executive of Faritec, says: "We are pleased to be recognised as IBM's top revenue contributor for ITS; this shows that in light of the recent distraction around funding the business for future growth, Faritec is still doing good business with our clients."
Commenting on Faritec's revenue pipeline, Donnelly says the IBM business within Faritec remains one of the strategic focus areas and that Faritec will continue to devote considerable time and energy to maintaining the superior strategy and skills needed to support and execute the IBM solutions that it designs and architects.
The awards are presented to IBM South Africa partners, which have shown significant progress in delivering solutions and services based on IBM's product portfolio. They also recognise partners that have made inroads into new markets and developed new business opportunities.
Faritec supports the IBM System P Unix platform, System x servers, System z & IBM storage and, among others, the WebSphere, Tivoli & ISS software portfolios. The company has a large certified IBM skills base and is able to architect, configure, deploy and provide post-sales and service support around these products.
