UDI (Ulwazi Digital Information), a local BEE company, has launched its Fundisa (to educate) (see

) containerised transportable computer labs at Futurex 2004.
The container is a fully fitted PC lab with server, workstations, printer, scanner, fax and photocopier. The application is aimed at the education and CSI sectors to be utilised in underserviced schools and disadvantaged communities for training and Internet access.
Fundisa is offering everyone that utilises the lab a free e-mail address for life. The transportable unit can be deployed within 10 days and comes with a satellite connection as well as a generator. Also included in the package is an accredited PC introduction and office training package that will allow the users to be accredited towards a qualification as per the SAQA.
The unit is also being franchised and will develop entrepreneurs in an economy that requires individual participation to grow. This type of infrastructure will provide Internet and training access to the people that need it the most.
Fundisa is dedicated to the development of education and training infrastructure in Africa. This transportable unit is fully equipped to be operational with hours of delivery.
