LANNET, a Madge Networks` Ethernet arm, will open two separate offices in Johannesburg and Cape Town in order to focus better on the Ethernet and ATM markets, Eli Karen, sales director EEMEA, said at a press conference yesterday. The Israeli maker of highly resilient networking hardware acquired in 1995 by Madge Networks will operate through three value added resellers - DNS, Unihold Technologies and Computer Networks. Peter Turvey, MD of Madge Networks Africa, said this will not impact the existing Madge operations in the country.
