MCI upgrades its BDA to ACCPAC interface in preparation for JSE's switch to its new MSS system

Johannesburg, 30 Jun 2011

MCI Consultants, a South African-based business information systems consulting firm, today announced that it has upgraded its Broker Dealer Accounting System (BDA) interface to ACCPAC, to accommodate the switch by the JSE to their new MSS system, which is planned to go live in November 2011.

“This new development, based on the information provided by the JSE, will ensure a seamless migration for users from the BDA to MSS interface into ACCPAC,” commented Aliki Droussiotis, Director MCI Consultants. “Specifically, we have built a switch from BDA to MSS into the current JSE interface to accommodate the 'big bang' approach that the JSE has adopted.

“This solution is vital not only for our existing users, but for any other stock broker that would like to minimise JSE charges by having a fully integrated accounting system for reporting and enquiries,” continued Droussiotis. “We are able to offer a complete ACCPAC implementation that is fully supported by our fully-trained and experienced consultants.

“Our readiness for this JSE change will ensure that the new interface will be tested and rolled out to our users long before the MSS system goes live,” concluded Droussiotis.
