Value-added security and networking distributor, Networks Unlimited, today announced it has signed a distribution agreement within South Africa and Africa with converged infrastructure vendor, SimpliVity.
SimpliVity has taken the IT industry by storm and is a disruptive technology that replaces the traditional data centre. The OmniCube, SimpliVity's star product, has taken convergence to the next level and essentially provides a complete data centre in a box. The OmniCube provides enterprise computing, storage services and network functionality, inclusive of WAN optimisation, unified global management, seamless cloud integration, primary storage de-duplication, backup de-duplication, caching, and global scale-out.
What differentiates SimpliVity from other brands is that as an IT infrastructure, it replaces traditional, disjointed IT stacks with a simplified and assimilated IT building block that holds servers, switches and storage, and has the ability to de-duplicate and backup data via WAN.
"We are very pleased to be partnering with SimpliVity and believe that the product will truly revolutionise the IT industry as we know it. Adding this unique product to our already impressive vendor portfolio will also ensure that we offer an all-encompassing solution for any organisation's networking and security needs, no matter the size of the company," says Anton Jacobsz, Managing Director of Networks Unlimited.
"For us as a company it is important to deliver best-in-class solutions to both our partners and their clients," said Christo Briedenhann, Regional Director Africa. "By working with Networks Unlimited in the Africa region, we can jointly deliver world-class offerings that address the performance and capacity challenges in today's virtualised data centres, ensuring performance, capacity, mobility, manageability, and protection of data without driving up capex and opex. Networks Unlimited has the skills, market penetration and reach as our value-added distributor for the region, and we are excited to expand our footprint in the African market with their support."
