Local supplier of consumables, services and solutions Advanced Consumables Technologies (ACT) has enriched its product portfolio through a partnership agreement with IT Image, a UK manufacturer of compatible inkjet and laser cartridges. This latest development follows a decision by ACT to operate more vigorously within the compatibles market.
ACT Sales Director Gary Pickford says the decision to focus on this space is based predominantly on feedback received from partners.
"Our intention has always been to offer value to our partners. It is clear that our partners are very satisfied with our service, delivery and stock-holding, but certain partners have specific requirements within the compatibles market. Our aim is to place ourselves in a position to offer a bigger basket of products to our reseller partners. It makes sense to focus on the compatible industry because it is now a clearly defined section within the industry," says Pickford.
Aside from this maturity, Pickford also believes the market is large enough to warrant investment.
"The compatible market has grown and matured over the past few years but still needs a supplier that can support the reseller by providing a quality product range, guaranteed continuity of supply and the necessary warranty and marketing support. Our strategy is to entrench IT Image as a major player within this space and the fact that the market has evolved should be an advantage." he adds.
IT Image features an extensive product range that includes compatible laser, inkjet and fax cartridges. The IT Image partnership was concluded with the appointment of Jenny Blom as the IT Image representative in southern Africa.
