For the first time in SA, Siemens will exhibit innovative mobile solutions and new technologies for even greater mobility at the Vodaworld Techno Expo.

The expo will be held from 1 to 5 October at Vodaworld, Midrand. Entrance is free and attendees can preview the next generation of cellular phones, mobile communication products, services and applications. Visitors to the Siemens Mobile stand have the opportunity of winning amazing daily prizes.

Alan Bosch from Siemens Mobile says: "We plan to take the Vodaworld Techno Expo by storm with its innovative technology, which will soon enable mobile users to get more of the information they really want."

The Siemens Mobile stand is a trip through a scientifically and futuristic inspired 'world' that will showcase the latest in exceptional design, innovation and technology.

On visiting the Siemens Mobile stand, attendees will not only be captivated by the latest in mobile phones but will be enticed by the hi-tech design of the stand. The 3.5-meter high dome, chain light effects and six plasma screens are sure to entertain and capture visitors' attention. The interactive dome is brought to life with intelligent lighting and hands-on entertainment.

Siemens Mobile will exhibit a range of its latest products in striking Perspex stands. On display will be the SX1 which has set new standards in function and design, the innovative and exclusively designed SL55, the individualistic M55, the MC60 which is the funky handset for fun-seeking socialites and the latest in the summer collection of Xelibri phones.

The SX1 is perfect for users who appreciate top-level functionality, maximum multimedia pleasure and an exclusive compact design. This tri-band device features a totally new design and offers an impressive array of functions. It has an integrated VGA camera, a large high-resolution TFT colour display, an MP3 music player, FM radio and Bluetooth technology.

The SL55 has an exclusive and innovative design, offering a wide range of functions in a very compact space. At the heart of the design is a 'slider', a keypad that can be slid out when needed but which is otherwise an integral part of the casing. The SL55 has MMS, a brilliant colour display, tri-band functionality, Java technology, GPRS, extensive calendar functions, a large number of user profiles and an optional plug-on camera.

The M55's unusual design and range of features will especially suit individualists who enjoy sounds and games. The qualities of this mobile phone lend themselves above all to leisure activities; fun and sporting entertainment are offered in the pre-installed xTreme Games. The keypad and back of the phone have striking design elements in the form of an 'X' and the dynamic light effects on the side of the phone make quite an impression in the dark, highlighting every incoming call. The M55 is a tri-band phone with high-resolution colour display, MMS, GPRS, polyphonic melodies, voice control, Java technology and an optional plug in camera.

The MC60 is a party-proof phone with an integrated camera, colour screen, two-click picture messaging and great looks. The MC60 can be adapted to match the latest fashions thanks to a range of front and back CLIPit Covers and exchangeable keypads. With a distinctive X-shaped design, the MC60 comes equipped with funky polyphonic ring tones, image applications and games. The MC60 celebrates socialising.

Xelibri is the fashion accessory phone category from Siemens Mobile. Following the inspiration of 'Space on Earth', the first Xelibri collection emphasises on radically different shapes combined with innovative wearability concepts. All Xelibri models are GSM Dual Band and offer simple voice functionality as well as SMS and EMS. Within the Xelibri collection one can also find polyphonic ring tones, unconventional keypads, 4-way navigation keys and/or 100% voice controlling.
