ACS, a division of JSE-listed Altron company, and a leader in the secure electronic transactions market within the ICT sector, has attained a Level 1 broad-based black economic empowerment (B-BBEE) rating in South Africa, demonstrating its continued commitment to strategic partnerships and inclusive business development.

Johan Gellatly, Managing Director for Bytes Secure Transactions Solutions, believes ACS’s rating represents a significant milestone in the company’s transformation strategy and recognises the strides the company has achieved in complying with B-BBEE legislation.

“As a business that has been operating for over 26 years, our mission is to ensure that we work towards driving a culture that is diverse and inclusive and embraces collaboration across our employees, customers and our partners. The improved rating shows our continued focus towards enterprise and supplier development, corporate social responsibility, skills development and equity representation within the company. Key contract wins in the private and public sectors have also played a role in achieving our status,” says Gellatly.

Gellatly goes on to mention: “In line with the One Altron Strategy and the Altron values, diversity and inclusion will continue to be at the core of our transformation strategy.”

We are proud of the B-BBEE rating. Ensuring compliance through various programmes is not just a tick box exercise to meet requirements but rather a continuous commitment to make a meaningful and sustainable contribution to South Africa.
