Chris Steyn is director of banking solutions at NamITech. Previously MD of NamITech, he has a BComm from the University of Stellenbosch and a CA (SA) from UCT. After a short period in the UK, he spent eight years with the Barlow Rand group in a number of management positions. This was followed by a further nine years at food conglomerate ICS after it was acquired by Barlows. He transferred to Nampak prior to its unbundling from Barlows and became MD of BDM when it was a 50:50 joint venture with a UK company. Steyn steered BDM through its transformation into BDM Technologies, following the disinvestment of the UK company and later into its new era as NamITech. Steyn has experience in secure document solutions, including prepaid vouchers and cheques.
