Budapest, Hungary, 12 Jun 2014
Budapest, the Hungarian capital and World Heritage Site, is this year's venue for the eighth celebration of NetApp's EMEA Partner and Pathways Summit.
The exclusive channel event running until 12 June 2014 is attended by executives from NetApp's partners across the EMEA region. Attendees receive the latest updates about channel opportunities and corporate strategy, discuss joint go-to-market programmes, and get ample time with senior NetApp executives and peers.
The event was highlighted by the Wednesday evening gala dinner at the 18th century chateau Kiscelli museum, where NetApp EMEA Partner Performance and Innovation Awards were presented in nine categories.
"By extending to three days we are demonstrating an increased investment and commitment to our partners in the region. We've extended the award programme categories in 2014, now giving nine partners recognition for general channel excellence or selected services like midsize offerings, converged infrastructure knowledge, or cloud expertise," says Thomas Ehrlich, NetApp Vice President Partners & Pathways EMEA. "Partners play a crucial role in delivering enterprise services and enabling customers to rapidly benefit from latest technologies such as cloud, flash or hyper-scale services. We recognise their important contribution to NetApp's growth strategy and this is our way of expressing our gratitude and commitment."
The award winners enjoy a range of business benefits, including significant marketing funding. In addition, NetApp hands out a charitable donation of $10 000 to the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC). The donation is presented on behalf of one lucky award winner drawn during the gala dinner. The IFRC is represented by Seija Tyrninoksa, Senior Advisor, Office of the Director of Europe Zone, and Getachew Ta'a, Head of Corporate Services and National Society Support.
