Our objective is to help Microsoft grow its already substantial GP and NAV base, not only in SA, but also in Africa, says Nick Botha, managing director of Dynamics Africa.

AccTech has signed an independent software vendor (ISV) agreement with Microsoft to provide solutions for the Microsoft Dynamics NAV and GP channel in Africa.

Tertius Zitzke, CEO of AccTech System, announced the agreement at a press conference at Microsoft SA yesterday.

The ISV agreement was signed between AccTech and Microsoft, but will be fulfilled under the banner of Dynamics Africa instead of under the current AccTech brand, says Nick Botha, the former chief marketing officer of AccTech in his new capacity as managing director of Dynamics Africa.

According to Botha, under the agreement, Dynamics Africa can on-sell a range of industry specific solutions to the current Microsoft NAV and GP markets.

Also, it will also be assisting the smaller NAV and GP partners to on-sell their own developments as ISV solutions to the broader market.

The purpose of Dynamics Africa is to develop and grow the Microsoft Dynamics ERP NAV and GP product ranges in Africa through Microsoft's current business partner channel as well as through the acquisition of new partners to the channel, says Botha.

"One of our main objectives of signing up Dynamics Africa is to help Microsoft grow its already substantial GP and NAV base, not only in SA, but also in Africa. The smaller Dynamics GP and NAV partners will benefit from technical, sales and administration perspective," he adds.

The services that Dynamics Africa will be offering its partners will be heavily focused on sales and marketing. It will be based on the alliance model that AccTech has been running successfully for many years, said Zitzke.

"Our main objective is to service the existing partners and to help promote growth of the Dynamics ERP partner channel through new partner acquisition."

"Microsoft is equally excited about the new venture and the opportunities it brings for our customers and partners", said Kethan Parbhoo, Dynamics director at Microsoft SA.

Dynamics Africa will allow us to recruit, develop and build some of the smaller partners to service hundreds of customers from a sales and deployment perspective, he added.
