Mindjet named a top innovator in latest market study by Aragon Research

Johannesburg, 28 Jul 2014

Mindjet, the world's leader in SaaS solutions for enterprise innovation management, announced today it was named a top innovator in The Aragon Research Globe for Social Software, 2014: Getting Down to Business report.

Mindjet, whose platform enables the world's leading brands to build and manage sustainable innovation programmes, was among the 20 companies that Aragon Research looked at when evaluating the different social software platforms currently available on the market.

Not only has Mindjet been named a top innovator, it is the only innovation management software provider included in the report.

The report highlights: "Mindjet SpigitEngage has continued to push the envelope in social innovation and innovation management. SpigitEngage focuses on making innovation a repeatable business process and has attracted many innovative Fortune 100 customers. It drives social innovation by enabling the capture, collaborative refinement, ranking and execution of ideas from employees, customers, partners and prospects."

"Mindjet is the only platform in the report that focuses on leveraging an organisation's internal or external crowd to collaborate purposefully on specific business challenges to flesh out the best ideas," said Scott Raskin, CEO, Mindjet. "While we believe that it's now mandatory to engage the crowd in order to innovate, the Globe notes that most vendors are still struggling to do this, which makes it harder for them to find the right business use cases to ensure optimal adoption. We're excited to be in a position to really help companies harness their talent in a way that helps them be more innovative."

The report further highlights: "SpigitEngage has been pivotal in defining the space around crowd-sourced idea management, crowd science and innovation. Spigit is cloud-based, which we believe will allow it to reduce the barrier to entry for organisations and aid in its penetration. To broaden its appeal and go beyond innovation programmes, it has added machine learning to allow the solution to make recommendations in the innovation process, and introduced Mindjet Graph APIs to provide access to core innovation concepts so that innovation can be integrated contextually into business process applications."

"Companies around the world need to be tapping into their employees' ideas or their 'social crowd' on a more regular basis when it comes to defining new business processes and initiatives. It's the only way they will be able to stay innovative among competitors," said Jim Lundy, CEO and Lead Analyst, Aragon Research. "Mindjet is the only purpose-built innovation management platform on the market today that is designed to leverage the crowd to find the best ideas to business challenges within product development, R&D, marketing and strategy. I look forward to seeing how Mindjet continues to help companies innovate."
