IS offers Mimecast solutions increasing its portfolio of services

Johannesburg, 21 Aug 2014

Industry-leading information management company Mimecast continues to expand its reach into the South African and African market with its channel-focused business model that was launched in May 2012. Since that time, it has consistently grown from strength to strength by working alongside most of South Africa's largest resellers, system integrators and ISPs. The partnerships are based on the company's depth and breadth of expertise and importantly it commitment to recommending and supporting the best and most relevant solutions for clients.

Mimecast recently signed an agreement with the Pan African telecoms service provider Internet Solutions which will enable it to consider Mimecast as a viable solution for clients. According to Brandon Bekker, Managing Director at Mimecast South Africa: "It is always exciting when our solutions are made available to a broader client base as we believe our products have universal appeal when it comes to information management."

Wayne Speechly, Executive for Communication and Cloud Services at Internet Solutions believes that operating within an industry of rapid technological change has accelerated the consumption of information that organisations utilise specifically when trying to achieve business advantage. He adds: "The governance and complexity involved in managing cloud-based e-mail, security and archiving as well as e-information has become a time intensive exercise for most organisations and this detracts from their ability to effectively focus on their core business. The addition of Mimecast's Unified Information Management offering to our broad portfolio of services will enable us to ensure our clients have access to a simplified process of accessing, managing and storing their corporate e-mail and information, so that they can compete more effectively."

It is estimated that 182.9 billion e-mails are sent and received across the world each day making e-mail messaging, without a doubt, the dominant and most critical business communication channel in use. With the introduction of new technology, many businesses are turning to cloud-based, unified e-mail and data management solutions to solve their issues relating to e-mail complexity and data fragmentation. E-mail has been empowered to extend past mere communication; encompassing corporate identity through e-mail stationery, processing legally-binding agreements, and being a platform where information across a multitude of formats is shared freely.

"Bringing innovative products and solutions to the market enables a broad range of customers to have access to our products - giving them secure and continuous access to their data whenever and wherever they want it," concludes Bekker. As the demanding and ever-changing world of cloud technology grows and evolves, it is essential that businesses receive access to the solutions they need to best support their businesses.
