On 21 August, Adobe together with distributor Dax Data, hosted the local launch of the 2014 release of Creative Cloud, at The Venue, in Johannesburg.

The event saw well over 100 Adobe enthusiasts come together for a morning of hands-on demos, giving insight into new features of the 2014 release of Creative Cloud. During the break, creatives were able to network while enjoying a light snack, allowing them to swap ideas and chat to Adobe Partners.

"The positive response from one of the largest gatherings of creatives in Gauteng for a long time is affirmation of Adobe's bold initiatives to reimagine the creative process. The move to a subscription model that delivers not only desktop tools but services and community is being embraced locally, adding to the global take-up of more than two million subscriptions," says Jeremy Matthews, CEO of Dax Data.

Joining Ralph as co-presenter, Mohammed Jogie, currently head creative at Morning Star Design, wowed the crowd with features such as 3D printing and enhanced smart objects in Photoshop. Illustrator features included live corners and anchor point enhancements. Creative Cloud's collaboration and storage features were also showcased.

Amanda Hart, local Adobe Channel Manager, gave an overview of the current Adobe promotions and the Value Incentive Plan for licensing Creative Cloud for Teams; which is available through a network of local Adobe certified resellers. Hart says she was delighted with the level of participation and the opportunity for Adobe to join its customers and partners at this dynamic event.

The session ended with a prize draw, which saw two lucky attendees win a full 12-month Creative Cloud subscription.

With Creative Cloud, Adobe is reimagining the creative process with the world's best tools; mobile apps, services and community. The 2014 release serves a creative industry that is changing at a staggering pace.
