With Netflix finally arriving in South Africa, there has never been an easier way to stream a vast choice of movies and series than through a Hisense HD television. Coming equipped with a dedicated Netflix button on the remote control of compatible Hisense models, all that is required is one press to immediately activate the pre-installed Netflix app and start watching.

If a fast enough Internet connection is available*, compatible Hisense televisions (see below) are capable of streaming Netflix in high definition and will play your favourite shows at their maximum supported resolution.

To access this realm of inexhaustible entertainment, Netflix subscribers simply need to be connected to the Internet via their Hisense Smart TV and have their log-in details available to be able to stream the wide variety of Netflix's original series and movies, documentaries, stand-up comedies and a wide range of kids' content directly via the app**.

How to access Netflix

If you have signed up for Netflix, and you've made sure your compatible Hisense Smart TV is connected to the Net, all you need to do is to press the Netflix button located on the remote control to seamlessly access the Netflix service. Once inside, simply enter your account username and password. When this is done, the magic of Netflix is all yours.

Another way to access Netflix is by pressing the "Home" button on the television remote control and then the right arrow to select "VOD" on-screen. The Netflix icon is displayed on the VOD page; press "OK" to access the app and sign in to the service.

Hisense quality recognised

During 2015, Hisense ranked number three in the global television market, and was recently recognised by International Data Group (IDG) as one of the Top 10 Consumer Electronics Brands from China.

Locally, the Chinese manufacturer has also been drawing attention, with the introduction of its Ultra LED (ULED) range in South Africa. These ULED televisions provide better clarity, more vivid colours and clearer picture quality, at the same time being price sensitive. Furthermore, the ULED models are manufactured in Hisense's South African factory, located in Atlantis, north of Cape Town.
