Enterprise backup and data protection company Commvault has integrated its Commvault Data Platform and IntelliSnap technology with FlashStack, a converged infrastructure solution offered jointly by Cisco and Pure Storage.
According to Commvault, FlashStack is an evergreen converged infrastructure solution that significantly shortens storage time and drives great infrastructure return on investment. It combines compute, network, and storage hardware into a single, integrated architecture.
By providing the data protection layer of FlashStack with IntelliSnap integration, Commvault says it is working with Pure Storage and Cisco to address the ongoing challenges created by the shift from the traditional silo approach of separate servers to an optimised solution that provides organisations a high performance, scalable infrastructure for deploying mission-critical workloads.

Commvault's IntelliSnap integration with FlashStack is a replacement over traditional data management and protection tools that are unable to scale and support critical enterprise applications and databases like Oracle, VMware SAP, Microsoft SQL and Exchange, whether physical or virtual, adds the enterprise backup and data protection company.
