AltX-listed Ansys, which provides technology to sectors such as rail and defence, has appointed Andrew Matseke as MD of one of its subsidiaries.

In a statement, the company says Matseke will lead operations at Tedaka Network Solutions where he will focus on cutting-edge innovation.

Tedaka designs, installs, commissions, distributes and integrates high-quality telecommunications products and solutions that are custom-designed to enhance the network integrity of its clients.

The subsidiary company is a turn-key service provider to tier one communication companies, government departments, state-owned companies, and educational and private institutions.

According to statement, Matseke joins Tedaka from Transnet Freight Rail, and brings over 20 years of experience in the telecommunications and electrical industries to the company.

He has worked on implementing telecommunications solutions not only in SA, but also in Botswana, Lesotho, Tanzania and the Democratic Republic of Congo, it adds.

"With this background, he will be an invaluable asset to Tedaka and to Ansys as a whole, especially as he will be focusing on the critical area of innovation and on expansion into both the Southern African region and the rest of Africa," says Group CEO, Rynier van der Watt.

Commenting on his appointment, Matseke says: "I am delighted to be taking up this exciting challenge, as we are entering a new era at Tedaka. Ansys has successfully implemented a bold turnaround strategy over the past two years, and the stage is now set for us to set the pace in both innovation and service excellence."
