ITWeb Cloud Summit 2018 launched

The ITWeb Cloud Summit is in its second year, offering expert content, case studies and relevant local insight.

The event aims to dissect the A – Z of cloud for a more agile, cost-efficient and secure business environment.

It has an expert advisory board, comprising: Ian Gatley, head of data management, Lombard Insurance; Antony Hlungwane, group IT director, MR Price Group (MRPG); JP Lourens, software and solutions product manager, Kyocera Document Solutions South Africa; Dennis Naidoo, senior systems engineer, Tintri; Ian Jansen van Rensburg, senior systems engineering manager, VMware Southern Africa; Andre Schoeman, head of product management, Liquid Telecom; Sithembile Songo, head of the information security governance, South African Reserve Bank.

Attendees of the 2017 ITWeb Summit were given insight into how they could leverage the cloud to create new business opportunities with views from 18 speakers, in varying roles and industry sectors both from the corporate and vendor market. This one-day, free-to-attend event for the qualified end user covered everything from the technical to the legal and digital disruption to security-related aspects of doing business in the cloud.

It was supported by the vendor community including: Salesforce; Oracle; SailPoint Technologies; Symantec and SUSE.

The 2018 event guarantees more of the same. 

The 2018 event will attract over 200 qualified end users.  This one-day conference with a minimum of two tracks will host over 20 speakers, including Andre Schoeman, head of product management, Liquid Telecom; Rudi Strydom, enterprise architect, Imperial Logistics; Maganathin Marcus Veeraragaloo, Chief Advisor Information Security, Eskom Head Office; Antony Hlungwane, IT director, MR Price Group (MRPG); Julian Thomas, principal consultant, PBT Group; JP Lourens, software product manager, Kyocera Document Management Solutions and Prof Pete Janse van Vuuren (PhD), CEO The Thinking Cap.
