Daptiv acquisition to aid expansion

Seattle-based Daptiv, a provider of project portfolio management software has acquired an Australian project portfolio management firm, Bluenova, says North West Innovation.

Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. According to Daptiv, the acquisition will increase its revenue by roughly 10%, and help it capitalise on opportunities in the Asia Pacific region. Daptiv says it will hire Bluenova's staff as full time employees, and retain the existing offices in Sydney and Brisbane, with a plan to open a new office in Melbourne.

Daptiv is also tapping Bluenova's executive staff to head its Asia Pacific operations, applying Bluenova's Charl Morkel to director of Daptiv Asia Pacific.

San Francisco MTA selects EcoSys

Hill International selected EcoSys, an enterprise planning and cost controls software company, as core software for the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency's (SFMTA) new capital programme controls system, states SF Gate.

The SFMTA selected Hill International to oversee project control systems on the programme. The system will track capital project budgeting, financing, and contractor payments, complex project design scheduling, construction scheduling, and contract claims management.

SFMTA expects to spend approximately $4.5 billion over the next five years with at least 50 active capital projects at any given time, including the $1.6 billion Central Subway Programme. The programme will construct a new 1.2-mile subway through San Francisco's downtown core and into Chinatown, one of the most densely developed areas in the US.

E1 has been quietly gathering a loyal customer following for its modular accounting and customer resource management software solutions.

Projects are notoriously difficult to manage and maintain, the report says, because they so often involve diverse departments and groups of employees, all of who are doing different things.
