HP has named Craig Paul as HP storage business unit and sales manager for the Enterprise Group in SA, with immediate effect.

HP says Paul has been acting in this role since early 2012, which yielded strong results during the financial year under his leadership. "The team has shown very strong results during FY12 and beaten the budget target for the year."

Frank van Rees, MD and Enterprise Group lead for HP SA, says: "Craig's appointment is a good example of one of our talented people who has stepped up and gone the extra mile to deliver better results."

Paul began his HP career in HP Services (HiPerformance Systems) as a desktop support engineer in 1996 and moved to Compaq three years later, where he worked as a server support engineer.

He transitioned to a storage technical consultant in 2004, moving to a StorageWorks pre-sales position in 2008. Paul then acted as storage business unit and sales manager in 2009 for a year, and continued to serve as the storage category manager until January 2012.

HP says, as a member of the Enterprise Group management team, Paul will report directly to Van Rees.
