The National Tender Bulletin serves up another beefy issue aided by an advertising spree from the State IT Agency (SITA). The organisation impresses with a total of 17 notices; however, critics will point out it only managed to award one of the tenders on its escalating 'Under Consideration' list. What's more, corrections to previously published tender numbers make up almost a third of SITA's entries this week; yet several of its new opportunities feature tender numbers inconsistent with its system.

SITA's clients have long bemoaned the organisation's lack of accuracy, dependability and reliability, so it should come as no surprise that several of its principal clients appear in direct advertisements.

National Treasury, meanwhile, wants to establish an "independent" Programme Management Office to sort out the Integrated Financial Management System (IFMS).

And the Department of Public Service and Administration opts not to continue its show of support for the technology agency in its portfolio, and also steps out with a direct message to industry.
