Civil engineering and building works specialist Ikageng Construction has awarded a software contract worth R290 000 to 4most, the Pretoria-based SAP Business One solutions provider.
Also based in Pretoria, Ikageng is focused on civil and building works undertaken that meet stringent laid down environmental and safety standards. Ikageng HR manager Danie Stoltz commented that the company required a single, fully integrated system to handle and track project costing on each substation construction site.
The 4most solution comprises SAP Business One ERP software integrated with an Enprise job-costing package.
“Job costing for SAP Business One offers Ikageng real-time visibility and enables easy monitoring of project profitability and reaction during the project,” said Eugene Olivier, business development director of 4most.
Enprise is designed to offer businesses new levels of information and control, allowing them to prepare estimates and quotations as well as track labour, materials, purchases and resource usage against jobs, projects and contracts.
“Because it delivers reporting and alerts management, it is an ideal fit for any business that needs to manage service delivery or projects,” added Olivier.
Installation and implementation of the software commenced in January and will be completed in April.
