Landmark Systems Corporation has announced immediate support of IBM z/OS Version 1 Release 2 through enhancements to Landmark`s The Monitor (TMON) for MVS Version 3.0.
According to Leon Theron, director at local Landmark partner, Datacentrix, Landmark`s TMON for MVS Version 3.0 is a complete solution for monitoring and managing the performance of MVS, OS/390, and z/OS operating systems.
"TMON for MVS monitors MVS performance in real-time, providing access to historical data online for recent-past analysis, and provides facilities for summarising and archiving MVS performance data for historical reporting.
"This product is designed to be used by systems programmers, performance analysts, applications tuners, operations personnel and managers," explains Theron. "It includes flexible exception processing and productivity enhancing system programmer utilities."
Effective management of an MVS system provides numerous benefits, including the ability to receive advance warning before problems become sever via the Threshold Recommendation Utility, as well as clear, concise performance information for rapid problem isolation and resolution.
