South African Bank Note Company upgrades to Novell NetWare 6.0

The South African Bank Note Company (SABN), responsible for the printing of South Africa`s paper currency, has selected IT infrastructure and solutions provider, Datacentrix, to upgrade its Novell software from version 4.1 of NetWare to version 6.0.

According to Freddie Oosthuizen, Datacentrix` services account manager, "The primary advantage for the users of the upgraded software is the greater efficiency and productivity that the new version enables. "Netware 6.0 offers corporates the ability to reduce operating costs and easily adapt to market growth, significant benefits for a company like SABN."

Oosthuizen maintains that the project was awarded to Datacentrix because of the organisation`s strong skills base, black economic empowerment profile and partner accreditation. "Datacentrix was recently appointed as Novell Business Expert for the eighth consecutive year," he explains.

"This accreditation, evaluated on an annual basis, highlights Novell`s confidence in Datacentrix` service and solutions offering.
