IXOS Software, an enterprise content management (ECM) solution provider, represented in SA by Datacentrix, has announced that IXOS-DocuLink iView 2.0 has received SAP integration certification for the mySAP Enterprise Portal. IXOS-DocuLink iView provides a single, centralised view of all data and documents related to individual projects or customers, including correspondence received by mail, fax or e-mail.
"IXOS designed this iView to change the way employees access and share information, enabling companies to foster collaboration, improve operational efficiency and reduce costs," explains Rob Shaw, product marketing manager at Datacentrix.
"Feedback that IXOS has received from customers indicates that the primary productivity challenge for Fortune 1000 companies is the need to eliminate silos of information," he says. The IXOS-DocuLink iView is a distinct area within the graphical user interface (GUI) that acts as a gateway to outside applications, offering users simultaneous personalised access to multiple relevant business applications whether the information is within a SAP application or outside of one.
