Jannie Hanekom, a staff member of black-empowered provider of high-performing and secure ICT solutions, Datacentrix, has received the coveted VMware Certified Design Expert (VCDX) certification, earning his position of only one of two people in Africa - and one of 65 worldwide - to have achieved this status.
“VMware Certified Design Experts are part of an elite group of architects leading virtualisation implementations around the world,” explains VMware regional director Chris Norton.
“Developed for design architects of enterprise deployments running on the VMware platform, achieving the VCDX certification shows that Datacentrix has the necessary expertise in VMware virtualisation, as well as the ability to design and architect a virtualisation strategy while considering the entire data centre and a company's business needs at the same time.”
In addition to achieving the VMware Certified Professional (VCP) certification, VCDX experts have taken the extra steps of passing both the Enterprise Administration exam and the Design exam, as well as successfully defending a VMware infrastructure design and implementation plan.
