Datacentrix appointed a Microsoft "Recommended Support Point"

Datacentrix, the Pretoria-based computer systems reseller and recent JSE listing, has been appointed a Microsoft Recommended Support Point, one of only three in South Africa.

This comes in the wake of the company`s increased emphasis on the service and support aspects of Microsoft business, and follows Datacentrix` accreditation as a Microsoft Certified Solution Provider on partner level and Large Account Reseller.

Datacentrix, one of the leading Microsoft integrators in South Africa, is responsible for Microsoft software sales in excess of R 20 million pa.

"The Microsoft-Datacentrix relationship is a success story that we are extremely proud of," said Microsoft MD, Mark Hill. "Their co-operative relationship with Microsoft lets them pair their own services and expertise with Microsoft technologies, products, and information.

"Microsoft Recommended Support Points are an extension of our Solution Provider Programme. They are accredited Microsoft partners who specialise in the development and provision of independent, multi-vendor support services," he explains.

Datacentrix executive director, Klaas Lammers, said the partnership has been valuable in creating solutions that leverage the full potential of current and emerging technologies.

"As a result, we are able to further enhance the technology investments made by our clients in Microsoft products by offering value-added services such as integration, consulting, software customisation, turnkey applications development, and technical training and support."

As a Microsoft Certified Solution Provider and Large Account Reseller, Datacentrix enjoys exclusive access to Microsoft information and technology and often collaborates with Microsoft on software development and beta testing exercises.
