Esquire secures Prolink agency for southern Africa

Esquire Technologies, a leading distributor of computer hardware and peripherals, secured the Prolink agency to bring a complete range of video graphic adaptors and high end multimedia products to southern Africa.

Esquire was appointed sole distributor for Prolink Microsystems Corporation in October 2003.

Esquire's Managing Director, Asgar Mahomed, comments: "This is in line with our strategy to bring global tier-one products to southern Africa due to the demand in the marketplace for leading and recognisable brands."

Prolink is a global leader in the manufacturer of video graphic adaptors and multimedia add-on cards, including a complete line of Hi-End 3D VGA cards, ComboTV cards, TV tuners, capture cards, MPEG II TV cards, Digital TV cards, video conference kits, LCD TV/ monitors, IEEE1394, USB and PDA peripherals.

"We will first focus on the VGA and multimedia cards, which will be available early November and roll-out the LCD TV/monitors and other products early next year," adds Mahomed.
