Esquire Technologies, distributor of computer components and peripherals, announced today the availability of the Kingmax range of high-speed secure digital (SD) cards in SA.
The new range of Kingmax SD cards reach transmission speeds of up to 10MBps, which overcomes the obstacles of trying to capture a photograph on digital cameras with slow read-write speeds.
Asgar Mahomed, Managing Director of Esquire, comments: "Digital cameras are following the path of mobile phones, and becoming an everyday commodity. In addition to the standard functions of a camera, digital cameras now support the DV format.
"Mobile phones, PDAs and other mobile devices are also adapting to the internal functions of digital cameras. High-resolution digital camera products are gaining in popularity, and consumers are now more discriminating about SD cards when it comes to read-write speeds and capacity."
Kingmax SD cards are available in 32MB, 64MB, 128MB, 256MB and 512MB capacities from Esquire's Gauteng head office and branches in Durban and Cape Town or through dealers and system integrators.
