Esquire Technologies, a leading distributor of PCs, computer components and peripherals, announced today the reintroduction of the well known global TEAC range of optical drives to southern Africa.
The Japanese IT company TEAC dates back to the early fifties when the Tokyo Television Acoustic Company was founded. Three years later the Tokyo Electro Acoustic Company was formed. Both companies entered into a joint venture in 1964 and have been operating since then under the name of TEAC.
Asgar Mahomed, managing director of Esquire says, "We are pleased to reintroduce this global brand to southern Africa, as well as add a world-class quality range of optical devices such as CD writers, DVDs, DVD writers and copy stations to our existing wide range of computer components and peripherals.
"The hallmark of the TEAC range is stability and reliability, which will complement the range of Esquire PCs that we are currently launching."
The TEAC range will be available through Esquire's dealers countrywide or through its outlets in Midrand, Gauteng, Cape Town and Durban from 1st May 2004.
