Esquire at rage: Come and play

The excitement is mounting for an event that's the talk of the town, rAge 2004!

Johannesburg, 28 Sep 2004

Running from 1 to 3 October at The Dome in Northgate Johannesburg, rAge 2004 boasts a host of awesome exhibitors ready to keep visitors totally engrossed with the very latest in video games, gadgets and technology.

The inaugural Really Awesome Gaming Expo - hosted in 2003 and winner of a Best New Exhibition award - proved such a hit with visitors and exhibitors alike that organiser Michael James committed to make rAge the most popular, fun and entertaining computer, gaming and technology show in SA.

His vision is well on its way to being fulfilled. With a wide array of exhibitors and a multitude of gaming, computer and technology retailers on board, filling even more floor space than 2003, rAge 2004 is looking good!

Among the exhibitors is Esquire Technologies, a leading distributor of computer hardware and peripherals, who is sponsoring the Arena 77 by supplying 42 top-of-the-range Esquire gaming PC for the Doom 3 competition. Gamers, including a celebrity team, will flock to Arena 77 for some really riveting rivalling.

A range of leading brands will also be on display at Esquire's stand (M), which include the latest in motherboards, Altec Lansing multimedia audio solutions, Chronos digital cameras, CTX monitors, Sapphire ATI graphic cards, BenQ digital lifestyle products, TEAC optical drives, to name a few.

rAge 2004 will once again feature anime, Magic The Gathering role-playing, awesome gaming entertainment, a LAN area where gamers bring their own PC and play games against each other, Arena 77 competitive PC gaming with prizes in excess of R250 000 up for grabs.

"This industry is growing at twice the rate of entertainment sectors like film and music. With this in mind we're delivering an expo that is fun and informative for all visitors and a worthwhile platform for a range of exhibitors. Unlike other smaller gaming 'exclusive' events, rAge 2004 will not only cater for the hardcore gamer, there will be something for everyone - from family fun to a 500-point LAN for serious gamers!" comments James.
