Esquire was among the first companies to launch the Esquire Elite Notebook based on the latest generation of Intel Centrino mobile technology, formerly codenamed Sonoma, at a recent Intel launch event held at The Venue in Rivonia.
Esquire Technologies created a coffee shop environment around the Esquire Elite Notebook, offering wireless connectivity to customers, alongside other industry players' replications of an airport scene, safari, beachside, school room, construction site, digital home, office and health displays, highlighting how mobile technology comes into play in these diverse environments.
Mahomed Cassim, Sales and Marketing Director of Esquire, commented: "Our new range of Esquire Elite Notebooks based on the Intel Centrino mobile technology platform facilitates a range of exciting new features from enhanced graphics and sound, security and portability for both business and entertainment applications."
According to Jacques van Schalkwyk, Country Manager for Intel South and Sub-Saharan Africa: "These enhanced capabilities allow an Intel Centrino mobile technology-based laptop to be not only a computer and wireless communicator, but also a gaming console, home theatre, MP3 player and a critical business companion - all in a mobile design that can go virtually anywhere."
Esquire's Elite range comprises entry-level, lightweight models through to the high-end performance intensive systems.
"With Intel's Centrino mobile technology, mobile computing has become increasingly popular and in demand and with the newly released 2005 platform, it means an even more enhanced experience, such as longer battery life, great performance, easy wireless connectivity and slim-line designs," said Cassim.
