As a leading distributor of high-end access control hardware and software since 2008, Powell Tronics has been an instrumental player in southern Africa's access control industry.
This has been achieved by living up to its motto of "Supporting the Trade". To this end it has established its own development team that has successfully written and implemented many software applications and integrations to go with its Impro and Morpho products.
It is constantly taking on new staff to keep up with the demands of supporting its ever-growing customer base and providing the sales and technical support that has become expected from it. Its through put has grown by 25% plus a year in Gauteng and, as a result, the need for increased resources like technical support has increased.
It has now expanded its office space in Gauteng for the third time in six years. It has added an in-house repair centre for Morpho products and for fault-finding on the other products it distributes.
To ensure it is equipped to handle repairs, it has employed Saul Mabata and has invested in having him trained and equipped with all of the tools and facilities required to ensure these functions are carried out with minimum fuss to the customer.
It has listened to its customers and incorporated a fully fitted training centre into its extended space. It will be holding both sales and technical training courses on all of the products that it supplies, from giving a basic overview to in-depth technical training.
Its stores are more streamlined and user-friendly, ensuring minimum waiting time when collecting stock, while improving its inventory controls.
It recently took part in Securex SA held at Gallagher Estate and was thrilled with the interest and enthusiasm of the visitors to its stand. It also won best stand in its category.
