Establishing a new business unit is always exciting. It is exciting for those at the coalface, and exciting for the parent company, whose expansion return on investment is greatly cherished.
1 April 2012 marked the beginning of VINTONET's foray into the greatest city in the world, namely, Cape Town. At the helm of the new Cape Town venture is a local son and communications entrepreneur, community leader and Alcatel-Lucent accredited engineer, Moegamat Reddy.
During his tenure in Gauteng, where he served as senior staff member at VINTONET, Reddy not only established himself as a social networker par excellence, but also as a technical communications engineer worth his salt.
His longstanding accomplishments led Johan Nel, Vintonet's CEO, to establish a successful friendship that led to Reddy's appointment as Managing Director and co-shareholder of VINTONET Western Cape. A timely move on Nel's part, for Reddy's expertise was in high demand by the other communications organisations.
VINTONET's vision for the Western Cape is to effectively use its longstanding partnership with Alcatel-Lucent to establish itself as the leading supplier of converged business communications technologies across all business spheres of the Western Cape marketplace.
