Nanoteq, the managed security solutions subsidiary of Comparex Africa, has achieved recognition as a Microsoft Certified Partner (MCP) in terms of Microsoft`s partner programme.

The certification carries a host of benefits for Nanoteq, ranging from permission to use the Certified Partner brand and peer partnering, through to customer referrals, MSDN Universal Technical Subscriptions, and discounted product licences for internal use.

In addition, Nanoteq will have access to volumes of up-to-date training and support information that will allow it to respond quickly to customer needs and to build the skills of its professionals with Microsoft skills.

Says Pieter Pretorius, Divisional Manager: Business Solutions at Nanoteq: "We`ve invested in the certification as a sign of our commitment to keep abreast with the latest emerging technologies and to the development of robust security solutions for the Microsoft environment.

"The Microsoft certification is in line with our drive to partner with the leading vendors in the world of information security and build skills in their platforms and applications."

Nanoteq has evolved from a developer of high-level cryptographic products for the most complex military and financial applications to become a global provider of integrated security systems.

Nanoteq provides optimal defence against security risks and electronic crimes in three main areas of business: Government networks and applications, traditional IT security solutions and securing e-business environments.

Its products and services have been branded into a blueprint concept called KeySecure, which has three focus areas: a Security Health Check, Interactive Solution Engineering and Knowledge Sharing.

The company`s consultancy offering encompasses security architectures and frameworks, security policy review, risk assessment, penetration testing, security awareness programmes and security training and education.

Nanoteq has formed alliances with internationally recognised leaders in the ICT security field including Cisco, Checkpoint, RSA, ISS, Trend, Veridicom and other specialist security providers.
