Rosebank SAIX down again

SAIX`s Rosebank point of presence has been down since 10am today, disrupting connectivity to both Telkom and its partners` clients in and around the area.

This is the second time this has happened in as many months.

Confirmation of this was received from UUNET, one of Telkom`s biggest clients locally.

The company says the SAIX failure had a direct impact on UUNET`s dial-up customers as well as its peering.

At the time of going to press, Telkom had not yet responded as to what caused the failure and when the problem would be resolved.
