Xerox Innovate `06 set to empower industry for greater profit, growth

Johannesburg, 13 Sep 2006

Bytes Document Solutions, distributor of Xerox products and solutions to 24 sub-Saharan countries, is bringing the worldwide Innovate `06 seminars to Johannesburg on 15 and 18 September to provide local print and graphic communications professionals with tools, resources and ideas for profit and growth.

In addition to the sessions planned in Midrand and Sandton on the two days respectively, Innovate `06 seminars are also planned for Cape Town and KwaZulu-Natal on 20 and 22 September respectively.

"The seminar series gives print providers and marketing, creative and design services professionals a chance to talk to industry experts about using digital printing to establish the right business model, build the right workflow and choose the right technology," says Amanda Hetherington, senior product manager at Bytes Document Solutions.

"Sharing their experience and knowledge of the industry, speakers will present on a variety of topics such as how proven business development tools can boost profit, how to streamline digital workflow for maximum efficiency and profitability, how partnerships are vital for success, and how to better design jobs for digital printing."

Industry experts presenting at Innovate `06 include:

* Chris Sykes, CEO of the Printing Industry Federation;
* Peter Muir, an independent print industry specialist;
* John Cable, Xerox business development manager; and
* Tony Kenton, industry expert, consultant and author.

Participants from the Gauteng region can personalise their Innovate `06 experience by choosing between the two sessions, selecting the one most relevant for their business.

"During last year`s seminar we heard from industry presenters who delivered objective information about applications, industry trends and customers," says Jerome Maggerman, marketing director at Burlington DataPrint. "The presentations were thought-provoking and made us want to find ways to capitalise on business opportunities. Based on initial impressions, we had expected a Xerox sales seminar but instead walked away believing that this type of event is the one to attend."

Paul Haglich, product manager: production systems group at Bytes Document Solutions, says: "Growing revenue, finding new ways to increase profits and staying ahead of the competition are vital to all businesses, especially those in the printing industry. Innovate `06 will help businesses improve services and increase value to their customers."
