John Joseph, Telkom's acting Managing Executive for Wholesale Services, has been appointed as CEO of Africa Online (Afol), a provider of Internet services in Africa and a subsidiary of the African Lakes Corporation Limited. Afol was acquired by Telkom last month.
Telkom CEO Papi Molotsane announced Joseph will relocate to Nairobi, Kenya, in April this year to establish a corporate head office.
Joseph has occupied various positions at Telkom since 1995. In 2000, he was tasked to establish Telkom Wholesale Marketing, an organisation that has since developed into a communication wholesale provider with a growing product portfolio for the South African, African and international markets.
